The Carolina Masters Sweep Group consists of two Women’s teams and a Men’s team. The Scullers Group includes a range of scullers, from Novice to Advanced. Many members do both. We are all masters rowers, technically age 22+.
Sweep
The Women’s Blue Team focuses on competition and racing. The Women’s White Team combines recreational and competitive rowers newer to the team and/or to the sport. The Men’s Team, the latest addition to Carolina Masters, rows on the same schedule as the White Team.
Coxswains generally row with a specific group, but sometimes move back and forth between groups depending on scheduling.
Sculling
Our Scullers often coordinate ad hoc rows, as well as going out individually during Sweep practice times and on their own. Many of our scullers compete locally and internationally as well.
